Didi the Bear Angel Crochet Amigurumi Free Pattern

 
 
 
Charming Didi the bear has *the* range, you can see him as a classic teddy bear, he can portray an impish little devil and now, his stellar role, an adorable angel.

Materials: yarn in colors brown 25 g, white 10 g, yellow, a little of dark brown and pink, safety eyes, stuffing, tapestry needle.
The smaller bear was made with Dk yarn, 3 mm crochet hook and it has 10 mm 
safety eyes.
For the bigger bear I used a 4,5 mm crochet hook, worsted weight yarn and 12 mm safety eyes.
The small bear is going to measure 13 cm / 5,1 inch approx and the big bear 17 cm / 6,7 inch approx.

HEAD:

With brown.

R1: 6 sc in mr
R2: *sc inc* [12]
R3: *1 sc, sc inc* [18]
R4: *2 sc, sc inc* [24]
R5: *3 sc, sc inc* [30]
R6: *4 sc, sc inc* [36]
R7: *5 sc, sc inc* [42]
R8-14: 42 sc [42]
R15: *5 sc, sc dec* [36]
R16: *4 sc, sc dec* [30]

Place eyes between R12-13, leaving six stitches between them.

R17: *3 sc, sc dec* [24]
R18: *2 sc, sc dec* [18]
R19: *1 sc, sc dec* [12]
R20: *sc dec* [6]

Embroider a "T" with dark brown color to make a nose between R13-16, for the rosy cheeks make a horizontal line between R13-14 with pink.
If you want to add more detail, outline the bottom side of the eye with white yarn.
 

 
EARS:

Make two.

With brown.

R1: 7 sc in mr
R2: *sc inc* [14]
R3-4: 14 sc [14]

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing.

Sew between R2-8 of the head.

 

 
BODY:

With white.

R1: 6 sc in mr
R2: *sc inc* [12]
R3: *1 sc, sc inc* [18]
R4: *2 sc, sc inc* [24]
R5: *3 sc, sc inc* [30]
R6-8: 30 sc [30]
R9: *3 sc, sc dec* [24]
R10-11: 24 sc [24]
R12: *2 sc, sc dec* [18]
R13: 18 sc [18]

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing.
 

 
ARMS:

Stuff lightly at the beginning.

With brown.

Make two.

R1: 5 sc in mr
R2: *sc inc* [10]
R3-5: 10 sc [10]
R6: *3 sc, sc dec* [8]
R7-8: 8 sc [8]
R9: *2 sc, sc dec* [6]
R10: 1 ch, turn, flatten the piece and close it up working 3 sc

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing.

Sew the arms on the sides of the body between R12-13.

 

 
LEGS:

Stuff very lightly only at the beginning.

With brown.

Make two.

R1: 6 sc in mr
R2: *sc inc* [12]
R3-5: 12 sc [12]
R6: *4 sc, sc dec* [10]
R7-8: 10 sc [10]
R9: 1 ch, turn, flatten the piece and close it up working 5 sc.
 
Break yarn leaving enough for sewing.

Sew the legs on the sides of the body between R3-8.

 

 
WINGS:

Make two.

With white.

9 ch
R1: 8 sc
R2: 1 ch, turn, 8 sc [8]
R3: 1 ch, turn, 7 sc [7]
R4: 1 ch, turn, 7 sc [7]
R5: 1 ch, turn, 5 sc [5]

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing.

Secure and hide the starting tail.

Sew the wings on the back of the body between R8-12, diagonally, opposite each other.

 

 
HALO:

With yellow.

12 ch, join first and last chain with a sl st
R1: 1 ch, 1 sc in next stitch, 11 sc, sl st to first st of R [12]

Break yarn leaving enough for sewing.

If you have the tail from the start, hide it.
To sew the halo, first insert the needle through the same stitch in which you finished the halo, then through the magic ring of the head and pull it out between the magic ring and the second round of the head, go again through the halo but this time insert the needle on the chain side and then go again through the magic ring.
