    1. I use safety eyes, they have a washer that goes on to lock the eye in place from the inside of the head so once you completed a few more rounds from where the eyes are going to be you can attach them before starting to close your work.

  2. What size safety eyes, please. Thank you so much for sharing this darling pattern.

  3. Hi! I'm having a lot of trouble with the feet. Can you explain a little more? I'm specifically having trouble moving on from V1 to V2; don't really know where I'm supposed to start the new sl st. Thank you!

    1. Hey! So, you chain 2 (1st picture) and work on the 2nd chain from hook 1 slip stitch, then chain 1 (2nd picture), then another slip stitch into the same chain you made your first slip stitch and then chain 1 (3rd picture) and cut the yarn (4th picture). Maybe try a looser tension if you are struggling to work the stitches... Hope this helps and if you have a more specific question let me know!

  10. Just finished the head! My ears are turning out like big triangles though, not at all like the lovely leaf shapes you have. Any ideas? I'm really new to crochet. Thank you.

    1. Hi! What I'm thinking is maybe the start is a little tricky being a bit small so you should probably pay attention to that, make sure the stitches are tight enough. Also flatten it with the finished stitch to the side and curve it a bit, that really makes the shape much nicer. Hope it helps!

  12. I'm new to crocheting and struggling a bit with the pattern. When you progress from one row in the pattern to the next, do you single chain before starting the next row? I am particularly struggling with the ears, which after R6 now look like quarter circles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Hey! No, you shouldn't chain unless specified like on the cape pattern. The ears are a little tricky at the beginning, I would say maybe pull at the starting bit as you crochet the first few rounds so you have more of a tube like shape and watch tension so it's not too tight that you struggle to work around but not super loose either. Hope its helps somewhat and it turns out great!

  13. I dont know much about yarn. Do you have specific brands and colors you could share?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi! I use a brand called "NUBE" but it's local so... I'd say that the important thing about the yarn is that it's the right weight for your hook size. I used DK weight and a 3mm hook.

  14. Hi, I just finished your Baby Yoda and wanted to share it with one of my ami groups but it was not shareable. Is there something that I would have to do so they could see it? It shared fine to my FB page, but not to the group. Your pattern is so cute and easy to follow I wanted to share it with my fellow ami beginners.

  15. Hello! Thank you for your kind words!! :) I'm not sure why, there shouldn't be any problem but maybe you could just copy/paste the link into a post which is almost the same as using the direct share button :)

  16. hi! this is my first crochet project and i have a question about the ears. Are they supposed to be flat or more tube shape?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey! So, since you are working around in a spiral they're kind of tube shaped but then you'd flatten them to sew to the head. Hope this is clear :)

  17. Hi, I am making this for a close friend. Can I make it bigger than what the pattern calls for?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey! Sure, you can up the yarn weight and the hook accordingly and it'll turn out bigger. This one is made with a light DK and 3 mm hook.

  18. This is my first attempt at amigurumi. I am a perplexed by the stitch count at the Head section where it says R3: *1 sc, sc inc* [18]
R4: *2 sc, sc inc* [24]. If in R4 the repeat is 2sc, sc inc over R3 with 18 count, shouldn't R4 st count be 18X2. I am reading 2 sc, sc inc to mean 2 sc, 2 sc on the stitch of previous row. Please clarify. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi! You should do on R4: 2 sc stitches and then increase on the third stitch, so if you have 18 stitches from the previous round you can only repeat this (2 sc, sc inc) six times, which by the end of the round you'll get 6 more stitches [24].

  20. Hello, thank you for sharing this pattern! I am new to crochet/amigurumi and am wondering - how could the ears be modified to have a little pink on the inside/front - where would the yarn color be changed? Also, how to modify the cape so it has long sleeves to fit? :)

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi, you're welcome. In the section crochet guide there is an entry that explains how to change colors https://hisheepok.blogspot.com/2018/10/color-change.html . To make sleeves you would need to leave a hole in the cape, to do that you make some chains and skip the same number of stitches as your chains in your work and then keep working normally, once you finish all that part you add yarn to the hole and do the sleeves, in my joker pattern https://hisheepok.blogspot.com/2019/11/joker-comic-movie-2-in-1.html I made a jacket that can be taken off and put on but it is a paid pattern.
